Block parties and street festivals on Fremont East

A block party needs a block. East Fremont Street between Las Vegas Boulevard and 8th Street closes to traffic, the 13 venues along it open onto the street, and the operator that runs them runs the permits, the stage, the security and the bars. That is the setup Feed the Block has used for free shows of 10,000 to 15,000 people.

What you get with the street

A closed, pedestrian block with a main stage, power, lighting and sound run by the district's production team. The venues along the street stay open and become the bars, the restaurants, the restrooms and the VIP rooms, so the festival has infrastructure a parking lot never does. Commonwealth's rooftop and We All Scream's rooftop overlook the street for sponsor decks and viewing parties.

Access control at both ends of the closure, security inside it, and the city permits for the closure and the sound are handled under one contract with Corner Bar, which operates the venues and the street.

Feed the Block is the template

The district's own event series shows the format at full size: three headline nights in 2025 with a free show on the street, 9,700 to 15,000 people a night and 32,000 across the season, plus 10,000 guests who crossed into the casinos and 8 million social impressions. The case study has the layout, the stage position and the crowd flow.

Formats

A ticketed or free concert with a street stage. A food and drink festival that uses the restaurants as the vendors. A sponsored block party for a brand, a convention or a sports weekend. A private street party for a company that wants the whole block to itself. Each one is the same closure with different programming, and the activation packages page shows how the tiers scale.

Questions people ask

How many people fit on the closed street?
15,000 and up, depending on the stage position and how much of the block is closed. Feed the Block nights have run at 9,700 to 15,000.
Who gets the street-closure permit?
The operator does. Corner Bar runs the venues and the street and handles the City of Las Vegas permits, security and access control under one contract.
Can a block party be private?
Yes. The venue buyouts page covers private takeovers of a venue, a run of venues or the whole block.
Is there a stage and sound on the street?
Yes. The district's production team supplies the main stage, power, sound and lighting, and four of the venues have their own stages.
